The new version of bubble wrap will disappoint everyone's inner child

Apparently the makers of bubble wrap have decided they like revenues more than fun.

A new version of Sealed Air Corp.'s signature packaging is out. It's called iBubble Wrap (that's how you know it's hip). But!

The Wall Street Journal brings us this one very disappointing piece of news: "The inflated bubbles look much like traditional Bubble Wrap, with one key difference: They don't burst when pressure is applied."

This is apparently because the new kind is inflated after it is shipped, which means it takes up much less space to ship (and is therefore much cheaper for the company).

But this cost-cutting comes at a price for the rest of us. As any human who was once a child knows, the entire point of getting something wrapped in bubble wrap is popping the little bubbles.
