  • Dr. Scott Atlas, who served as a special advisor to President Donald Trump, resigned from the White House coronavirus task force on Monday.
  • Atlas joined the task force in August as a special government employee, meaning his role in the task force was temporary and would not exceed 130 days.
  • Atlas' push to reopen the US has sparked backlash from critics, including the top US infectious-disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, and CDC Director Robert Redfield.

Dr. Scott Atlas resigned from the White House coronavirus task force on Monday.

Atlas, who served as a special advisor to President Donald Trump, joined the task force in August as a special government employee, meaning his role in the task force was temporary and would not exceed 130 days. His tenure was set to expire this week, according to a Fox News report.

The White House confirmed Atlas' resignation but declined to comment further.

"As time went on, like all scientists and health policy scholars, I learned new information and synthesized the latest data from around the world, all in an effort to provide you with the best information to serve the greater public good," Atlas wrote in a resignation letter obtained by Fox News.

"But, perhaps more than anything, my advice was always focused on minimizing all the harms from both the pandemic and the structural policies themselves, especially to the working class and the poor."

In the letter, Atlas touted the work of the coronavirus task force alongside those he described as "several selfless colleagues in designing specific policies to heighten protection of the vulnerable while safely reopening schools and society."

Atlas' controversial advice — including his push against states' lockdowns and mask mandates — sparked backlash from critics.

At the end of October, Atlas slammed stay-at-home orders during an interview with a Russian propaganda outlet, saying that "lockdowns will go down as an epic failure of public policy" and that they "are killing people." He later apologized for granting the outlet, RT, an interview.

Earlier in October, a tweet from Atlas casting doubt on the efficacy of masks was removed from Twitter.

"Twitter seems to be censoring the science if it goes against their own goals of public indoctrination," Atlas said in response at the time.

More recently, Atlas sparred with the top US infectious-disease expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, over the production of a COVID-19 vaccine, calling Fauci a "political animal" for what Atlas described as Fauci's "upbeat" tone on the pandemic following Election Day.

"There's all kinds of prognostications that were made, all negative, all to undermine what the reality of the timelines were, all to undermine the president," Atlas said during an interview with the Fox News host Laura Ingraham. "Once you do that sort of thing and make yourself a political animal basically, you lose your credibility."

"Well maybe he's cheered up because of the election," he added.

Dr. Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, was once reportedly overheard saying "everything" Atlas said was "false."

Atlas told Business Insider's Ashley Collman in October that he thought much of the criticism toward him "stems from people who are either politically motivated or are interested in maintaining their own stature in the public eye."

In his resignation letter, which Fox News said was dated December 1, Atlas congratulated the work of the team behind Operation Warp Speed — the US government program to help develop a vaccine — saying the team "delivered on our promised timelines for new drugs and vaccines."

"I congratulate you for your vision, and also congratulate the many who did the exemplary work — we know who they are, even though their names are not those familiar to the public," Atlas wrote.

He also wished the Biden-Harris administration well.

"With the emerging treatments and vaccines," he wrote, according to Fox News, "I remain highly optimistic that America will thrive once again and overcome the adversity of the pandemic and all that it has entailed."

Apple's AirPods are some of the most popular wireless earbuds in the world, and if you're looking to get your hands on a pair, they're on sale for Cyber Monday 2020. Whether you're interested in Apple's standard AirPods or the noise-canceling AirPods Pro, deals are still available on all models.

Although the best deal on the AirPods Pro quickly sold out, you can still get Apple's top-of-the-line wireless headphones at a bargain price.

Both the AirPods with the wireless charging case and the ones with a normal wired plug-in charging case are on sale. Due to their popularity, ease of use, and good sound, we consider the AirPods to be among the best Cyber Monday tech deals you can get right now.

The standard AirPods have a stem-like design that looks like the normal wired earbuds Apple used to include in the box with new iPhones. They're meant to fit anyone, so they are not adjustable and the fit is a bit looser than earbuds with ear tips.

The AirPods are powered by Apple's H1 chip, which makes for effortless pairing and an easy user experience. The battery is rated to provide five hours of playback on one charge, and the charging case can give you about 24 hours of extra power. The charging case comes in two versions: one that charges up by plugging in with a lightning cable and another that can also charge wirelessly.

Below, we've listed the top Cyber Monday AirPod deals you can find on every AirPod model. For those who want to add wireless charging to their regular AirPods, we've also included a deal on Apple's standalone wireless charging case. For more savings, check out all the best Apple Cyber Monday 2020 deals here.

Sony's flagship WH-1000XM4 noise-cancelling headphones are $72 off right now at Best Buy, which is one of the best prices we've seen. Apple's popular AirPods Pro are available for a discounted price of $190 right now at Woot. That's not the lowest they've ever been, but it's still a great deal.

Below, we've rounded up all the best Cyber Monday headphone deals you can still find tonight. If you're looking for more discounts, you can find all the best Cyber Monday tech deals here. You can also follow our Cyber Monday liveblog for more deal highlights.

The best Cyber Monday true wireless earbud deals

True wireless earbuds provide a convenient design with left and right buds that can connect wirelessly without any cables. Several true wireless earbuds are on sale now for Cyber Monday, including Apple's highly rated AirPods Pro.

The AirPods Pro have been getting great discounts, but continue to sell out fast. The best AirPods Pro deal still available is Woot's $190 sale. That doesn't match Walmart's all-time low price of $169, but it's still a good deal.

Sony's flagship WF-1000XM3 earbuds are on sale for just $168. These are a better fit for buyers who want a pair of high-end earbuds for use with Android devices.

Check out all of the best Cyber Monday true wireless headphone deals below.

The best Cyber Monday wireless headphone deals

True wireless earbuds are perfect for portability, but not everyone wants or needs headphones so small. A good pair of over-ear or on-ear wireless headphones can be a better fit for people who favor audio performance over mobility. Wireless headphones from Bose, Beats, and Sony are all on sale for Cyber Monday.

One of the best Cyber Monday wireless headphone deals still available is on Sony's new WH-1000XM4. This high-end over-ear model usually costs $350, but it's on sale for $278 at Best Buy.

Our reviewer says the WH-1000XM4 are "among the best wireless noise-cancelling headphones you can get in the $350 price range." At just $278, they're an even better value. You can read our full WH-1000XM4 review here.

Wayfair's Cyber Monday sale is running all week with deep discounts on furniture, holiday decor, bedding, and more

Cyber Monday 2020 Wayfair Deals 2x1
Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky

Wayfair, home to millions of products from thousands of suppliers, is one of the largest affordable home goods retailers online — and it's got a ton of Cyber Monday deals this year. In fact, the sale will run for a whole week from Cyber Monday, November 30, through December 4.

If you've had your eye on something from the retailer's in-house lines AllModernPerigold, and Joss & Main, now is a good time to make a purchase. For example, the mid-century-inspired AllModern Dorinda Platform Bed is currently $327.14, down from $613.29, while Joss & Main's minimalist Wisniewski Tripod Floor Lamp is $109.99, down from $204.

So far, the prices and products we've seen on sale have been similar to the deals found during Wayfair's Way Day 2020, though the discounts on Way Day were perhaps a little better. That being said, Wayfair sales are always a bit tricky, since the retailer rarely lists anything as full price, even its in-house lines, and it can be hard to spot a real deal from a regular priced item. We recommend checking Wayfair's Cyber Week prices against other retailers' if you're planning on buying appliances or furniture outside of Wayfair's own brands. For example, the retailer is currently advertising "up to 40% off GE appliances," but a quick search reveals that most of the "discounted" appliances are actually the same price, or even more expensive, than they are normally at other retailers.

The retailer is also offering flash deals all day, and free shipping on everything with no minimums.

To potentially save more on Cyber Monday deals this year, you can also use Business Insider Coupons to find the most up-to-date Wayfair discounts and promo codes.

The best Cyber Monday deals available at Wayfair

When is Wayfair's Cyber Monday sale?

Wayfair's Cyber Monday sale will run from Monday, November 30, through Friday, December 4.

What kinds of deals will Wayfair have on Cyber Monday?

We're expecting to see deals across all types of home and kitchen categories, from small decor items like bookends to large appliances like fridges. Based on our knowledge of past sales and the retailer's Black Friday and Cyber Monday preview, you'll also be able to save on small kitchen appliances from name brands like KitchenAid and Cuisinart; memory foam and hybrid mattresses from Sealy and Serta; and lighting from Wayfair's private labels like Joss & Main and Birch Lane.

If you want to do a bit of research in the home and kitchen categories where we expect to see solid deals, here are our guides to the best espresso machines, the best cookware sets, the best mattresses, and the best pillows.

How do we select the best Cyber Monday deals at Wayfair?

  • We only choose products that meet our high standard of coverage, from brands we've tested and trust.
  • We compare the prices against other retailers like Amazon, Target, and Best Buy and only include the deals that are the same or better (not including promotional discounts that come from using certain credit cards).
  • We research price history thoroughly, to ensure that every deal we list is actually worth your time.

Biden urged to pick California attorney who fought sweatshop slavery as new head of Labor Department

California Labor Secretary Julie Su is photographed at her home in Cerritos, California.
  • California labor activists are asking President-elect Joe Biden to select Julie Su as his Secretary of Labor.
  • Su, once dubbed the "bane of deadbeat employers," has served as California's Labor Secretary since 2019.
  • Previously, Su served as the state's labor commissioner. She also co-founded the group Sweatshop Watch.
  • "Thinking about Julie Su as Secretary of Labor is almost a physical sense of relief," one source in the labor movement told Business Insider.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

Labor organizers in Southern California are pushing President-elect Joe Biden to pick a progressive, hometown hero for Labor Secretary, arguing that the state's top labor official — an anti-sweatshop campaigner dubbed the "bane of the deadbeat employer" — is supremely qualified to protect workers' rights during the pandemic.

Julie Su has served in statewide office since 2011, when former Gov. Jerry Brown picked her to lead the state's enforcement of labor laws. Before that, at the age of 26, she represented dozens of undocumented Thai workers who were effectively enslaved at a garment factory outside Los Angeles, a landmark case that prompted federal and state efforts to combat human trafficking; that work was cited by the MacArthur Foundation, which awarded her its "genius" award in 2001.

As labor commissioner, Su turned the state's under-resourced team of worker advocates into "what could be the most aggressive and effective state labor law enforcement division in the country," according to a 2013 report from In These Times, a progressive magazine.

Under Su's reign, California sought the largest-ever judgment against an employer in state history, assessing almost $12 million in citations against a construction company. "[E]mployers who steal from workers will end up paying for it," she said at the time.

In 2019, Gov. Gavin Newsom promoted her to Secretary of Labor, a role that has seen her oversee worker safety and unemployment checks amid a pandemic and recession — experience her advocates believe has well prepared her to do the same on a larger scale.

"Workers, especially workers of color, are hurting across the country," Marissa Nuncio, director of the Garment Worker Center in Los Angeles, told Business Insider. "They need and deserve someone with a demonstrated record of leadership and expertise in fighting for working individuals and families, and Julie's record is exemplary."

GettyImages 569107751
Julie Su received a 2001 "genius" grant from the MacAuthur Foundation for her efforts to protect undocumented immigrant workers.

As Bloomberg Law reported last week, Su's odds for a cabinet pick have been aided by a split in union support among contenders who are better known on the national stage, such as US Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Andy Levin. "I think she's very, very viable," Los Angeles County Federation of Labor President Ron Herrera, a supporter, told Bloomberg. "She's really been a warrior for us."

But, the outlet noted, a lack of public support from organized labor has also been one factor hindering Su's candidacy.

A letter sent to the president-elect on Sunday aims to address that gap.

"It is a critical time for women's leadership and we need a strong woman as US Secretary of Labor, especially a woman of color who understand what it's like to grow up in an immigrant household," states the letter signed by Dolores Huerta, the famed farm worker organizer, and the leaders of groups such as the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance, the Pilipino Workers Center of Southern California, and the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy.

"She fully enforced the rights of farm workers, janitors, and domestic workers," the letter says. "In short, Su has been at the forefront of some of the most innovative policies and enforcement strategies in our state's history.

A senior staffer at a national labor organization, requesting anonymity to speak freely, said a Su cabinet post would be seen as a big win for the labor movement.

"Thinking about Julie Su as Secretary of Labor is almost a physical sense of relief," the source told Business Insider. She's spent years leading enforcement in the world's fifth-largest economy and before that fought for workers' rights as an activist exposing labor conditions in the garment industry.

"She is widely respected as a labor rights and civil rights attorney, so she truly 'speaks the language' of workers' issues," the source said, noting she is also fluent in both Spanish and Mandarin.

Su "will walk in that door fully capable, ready to work, and without any serious shadows of past transactional relationships or controversies," they added.

Democrats projected to retain their House majority but lose key seats to Republicans

0

  • Decision Desk HQ has projected Democrats to retain control of the House of Representatives after the 2020 election.
  • The Democrats have failed, however, to protect some of their most vulnerable representatives and to expand their control of the House.
  • As of November 30, Democrats had lost a net of nine seats to Republicans. Just two House races, the race in Iowa's 2nd District and the race in New York's 22nd District, remain too close to call.
  • Before the election, many election analysts expected Democrats to easily maintain and expand their majority in the House by anywhere from five to 15 seats based on polling and fundraising data.
  • Republicans look poised to maintain control of the Senate.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky

Democrats will continue to control the House of Representatives after the 2020 election, according to Decision Desk HQ.

Nine races remain to be called, but DDHQ on November 9 projected the Democrats to win the 218 seats needed for a House majority.

The Democrats won the House despite falling short of their aim to expand their control of the chamber and losing key seats to Republicans.

As of November 30, they had lost nine seats on net. Just two US Hose races with incredibly close margins, the open race in Iowa's 2nd District, where six votes separate the winning and losing candidates, and Democratic Rep. Anthony Brindisi's reelection bid in New York's 22nd District, remain too close to call.

Democrats also won back the White House, with DDHQ on November 6 projecting Joe Biden as the winner of the presidential election. Republicans still have a good chance of maintaining control of the Senate, which could cause legislative gridlock.

In the 2018 midterms, Democrats flipped 40 seats in the House and won back the chamber in a historic election — a repudiation of both President Donald Trump and the unified Republican government he presided over for nearly two years.

House Democrats' top goal in the 2020 cycle was to ensure many of their most vulnerable members who had won back the most difficult seats were reelected. Republicans posted a remarkably strong showing, however, contrary to what many district-level polls and election forecasts indicated

The House currently consists of 232 Democrats, 197 Republicans, one Libertarian (Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan, who is retiring), and five vacancies. All 435 seats in the House were up for election this fall.

Updates:

Numerous freshman Democrats lost reelection

The vulnerable first-term Democrats who Decision Desk HQ projects to lose reelection are Reps. TJ Cox, Gil Cisneros, and Harley Rouda of California, Reps. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell and Donna Shalala of Florida, Rep. Abby Finkenauer of Iowa, Rep. Xochitl Torres Small of New Mexico, Rep. Max Rose of New York, Rep. Kendra Horn of Oklahoma, Rep. Joe Cunningham of South Carolina, and Rep. Ben McAdams of Utah.

Rep. Collin Peterson, a long-serving Democratic representative in a Minnesota district that Trump won by 30 points, also lost reelection.

Some House Democrats who flipped Republican suburban and exurban seats in 2018 did win reelection, however, including Rep. Lucy McBath of Georgia, Rep. Katie Porter of California, Reps. Elaine Luria, Abigail Spanberger, and Jennifer Wexton of Virginia, and Rep. Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey.

Democrats also fell short on many offensive targets

House Democrats set out on an ambitious agenda to flip many Republican-controlled seats, particularly in Texas and in many suburban districts around the country.

But Democrats have failed, so far, to flip a single GOP-held seat other than Georgia's 7th Congressional District, located in the Atlanta suurbs, and two North Carolina seats that they were virtually guaranteed to flip because of court-ordered redistricting, according to DDHQ projections.

Democrats will not pick up competitive US House seats in Texas' 2nd, 3rd, 10th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, or 24th congressional districts, DDHQ projected.

While Biden is projected to carry Nebraska's 2nd Congressional District's sole Electoral College vote, the Democratic candidate Kara Eastman failed in her second bid to unseat the district's congressional representative, Don Bacon, in this Omaha-based seat.

Also in the Midwest, GOP Rep. Ann Wagner won reelection in her district located in suburban St. Louis, over the Democratic candidate Jill Schupp. The Republican Victoria Spartz defeated the Democrat Christina Hale in the open race for Indiana's 5th District, a wealthy seat in suburban Indianapolis that Democrats saw as a possible pickup opportunity.

In Michigan, the Republican Peter Meijer defeated the Democrat Hillary Scholten to succeed the retiring Rep. Justin Amash. And GOP Rep. Steve Chabot held off a challenge from the Democrat Kate Schroder in Ohio's 1st Congressional District, located in the Cincinnati area.

An incoming class of history-makers

Several of the newly elected state representatives are making history

The Republican Madison Cawthorn, 25, who beat the Democrat Moe Davis to represent North Carolina's 11th Congressional District, will become the youngest member of Congress in modern history.

The Democrat Cori Bush is set to become the first Black congresswoman from Missouri after winning in the state's 1st Congressional District.

The Democrats Mondaire Jones and Ritchie Torres will also be the first openly gay Black men to serve in Congress, after winning in New York's 17th and 15th districts respectively.

And nine out of the eleven Republicans who have so far unseated incumbent Democrats (Michelle Steel and Young Kim of California, Maria Salazar of Florida, Ashley Hinson of Iowa, Nicole Malliotakis of New York, Stephanie Bice of Oklahoma, Michelle Fischbach of Minnesota, Yvette Herrell of New Mexico, and Nancy Mace of South Carolina) are women — wins that will drastically expand the representation of women and especially of women of color in the House Republican caucus.

Currently, there are just 13 voting female Republican representatives in the House and 11 female Republican incumbents who ran for reelection in 2020.

'The squad' coasts to reelection

Three high-profile Democratic members of "the squad" in the House of Representatives held their seats in a comfortable fashion.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will continue to represent New York's 14th District, defeating the Republican John Cummings by a wide margin, while Rep. Ilhan Omar also ran well ahead of the Republican Lacy Johnson in the race to represent Minnesota's 5th District.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib also defeated her Republican challenger, David Dudenhoefer, and will continue to represent Michigan's 13th Congressional District.

Large retailers tend to dominate the conversation around Cyber Monday, but we'd encourage you to not forget about noteworthy startups like Made In, Brooklinen, Parachute, Bombas, Snowe, M.Gemi, Tommy John, and more this year.

Whether they're changing the way we eat, sleep, or get dressed, startups break ground with their innovative ideas and problem-solving products. They also make particularly great gifts since they feel a bit more unique than many others — and you get to introduce someone to a cool new brand.

While many don't usually offer sales, Cyber Mondays (or Cyber Weeks) are the exceptions, and startup deals are bigger than ever this year. Though many startups are offering their deals through the end of the week, there's no guarantee that supplies will last — especially in a year where supply chains have been so disrupted. Here, we're tracking the best discounts offered by startups in 2020. Most of them are continuations of deals the brands offered for Black Friday.

We'll be updating this as more deals are announced. To save yourself time, bookmark this page and check back for more deals.

Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
  • Cyber Monday 2020 gaming deals on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC are now live.
  • Despite low stock on consoles, Cyber Monday 2020 is delivering some great discounts on Nintendo and PlayStation exclusive games, and the lowest prices we've seen on some popular gaming accessories.
  • Don't expect discounts on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, however — they all launched earlier this month and their stock remains extremely limited.
  • Check out Insider Reviews' best Cyber Monday tech deals for more savings.

Cyber Monday 2020 gaming deals haven't brought all of the usual doorbuster discounts on consoles you might expect, but there are a few reasons for that. The recent launches of the next-gen PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S consoles, alongside the ongoing pandemic, have created intense demand for gaming products of all types.

But, there's still a healthy selection of games and accessories available at some of their lowest prices of the year. That includes newly released PS5 and Xbox Series X games like "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla," and "Watch Dogs Legion."

The Switch has continued to be hard to find, but Cyber Monday has brought a $300 "Fortnite" Switch bundle to Amazon. First-party Nintendo games like "New Super Mario Wii U Deluxe" and "The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening" have been $20 to $30 off at most retailers, and that includes digital copies from Nintendo's eShop.

We've listed the best gaming deals we've found online so far. If you're looking for more savings, be sure to read our Cyber Monday liveblog.

Best Cyber Monday gaming deals

Most of today's Cyber Monday discounts on video games have been active since Thanksgiving and Black Friday, including deals on Nintendo Switch exclusives, newly released games from Ubisoft, and annual hits like "Madden NFL 21."

Games like "Assassin's Creed: Valhalla" and "Watch Dogs Legion" were cheaper on Black Friday, but the price difference for both is less than $5, and it's unlikely we'll see another sale in the coming weeks.

Best PlayStation Cyber Monday deals

The PlayStation 5 may be the most-coveted console of 2020, but PlayStation discounts were reserved to the PlayStation 4 during this year's Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. A selection of this year's hit PlayStation 4-exclusive games — "The Last of Us 2," "Ghost of Tsushima," and "Final Fantasy VII Remake" — are at their lowest prices since release.

Keep in mind that PS4 games will still work on PS5, and the next-gen system will automatically provide a boost in graphics quality and load times.

Sony is also hosting a huge online sale on digital PlayStation games in the PlayStation Network store, and you can get 25% off a one-year PlayStation Plus subscription, which is required to play online and provides free games each month.

Best Xbox Cyber Monday deals

Microsoft launched the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S earlier this month, but the new consoles aren't on sale for Cyber Monday. Instead, the best Xbox deal for Cyber Monday is on Microsoft's Netflix-style gaming subscription, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which lets gamers play more than 100 titles on their Xbox, PC, or Android phone. We've called the $15-per-month subscription the best deal in gaming, and you can buy a three-month membership for $19.99 right now.

Official Xbox controllers are also $20 off right now at Best Buy, which includes the newly remodeled Xbox wireless controller for Series S and Series X.

Microsoft, like Nintendo and Sony, is also holding a massive online sale for digital Xbox games and PC games for Windows 10.

Best PC Cyber Monday gaming deals

PC gamers usually need specific parts and peripherals to upgrade their gaming setup, and Cyber Monday often brings the price drops needed to make improvements. So far we've seen discounts on PC gaming products from well-known brands like Logitech, including all-time low prices on Logitech's 502 wireless mouse.

We've seen some great deals on Dell's gaming products, including 36% off the Alienware m15 gaming latop, and $175 off Alienware's 34" ultrawide monitor.

Few retail stores sell PC games in person, but you can find online sales on popular platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store, where thousands of digital games are up to 90% off.

Cyber Monday 2020 and the four days of deals from Black Friday weekend are all winding down. If you haven't nabbed enough (or any) deals yet, don't worry — there are still plenty of must-have items in stock and on sale.

Whether you've been mulling over whether that replacement tablet is within your budget until right now, or you just realized you can take care of your holiday gift list at half the price, major retailers like Target, Amazon, Best Buy, and Kohl's are still offering 30-50% regularly off items big and small. Cyber Monday FAQs

When is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is the Monday following Black Friday every year. In 2020, the online-heavy shopping event hits Monday, November 30.

As an extension of sorts to Black Friday, Cyber Monday gives you more time and opportunity to save on tech, home goods, kitchen appliances, clothing, and more that you might've missed immediately after Thanksgiving.

When does Cyber Monday end?

Technically, Cyber Monday ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, November 30. But many brands are extending their sales to Cyber Week, like Adidas who is offering 40% off site-wide through the end of Tuesday, then 30% off wite-wide for the rest of the week. Wayfair's Cyber Monday deals, meanwhile, will run through December 4.

What should I buy during Cyber Monday?

If a retailer offers Black Friday deals, it's a near guarantee that it will offer Cyber Monday deals, too. AmazonBest BuyTarget, and Walmart are some noteworthy retailers that we know will participate in the shopping event.

We will likely see massive discounts on some of our favorite direct-to-consumer products during Cyber Monday, such as retail startups like Leesa and Brooklinen. For some, Cyber Monday (or Cyber Week) will be one of the few times of the year when their products see major markdowns.

Will there be Cyber Monday shipping delays?

Shipping delays and shopping holidays are inevitable. Experts say consumers should expect to see low inventory and shipping problems, during Cyber Monday, Black Friday, and the weeks following

One way to avoid this: If you're buying online from a brick-and-mortar retailer like Walmart, Target, Best Buy, or Kohls, opt for in-store pickup and contactless curbside pickup. (If they don't have the item in stock, though, you'll likely still have to wait.)

How we select the best Cyber Monday deals

  • We only choose products that meet our high standard of coverage, and that we've either used ourselves or researched carefully.
  • We compare the prices among top retailers such as AmazonBest BuyTarget, and Walmart and only include the deals that are better than all others offered (not including promotional discounts that come from using certain credit cards).
  • We limit deals to being at least 20% off, except on the occasion that products that are rarely discounted or provide an outsized value.

Apple AirPods Black Friday deals are still going with $50 off the base model and $60 off a pair with wireless charging

Black Friday 2020 AirPods Deals 2x1
Table of Contents: Masthead Sticky

As some of the bestselling earbuds in the world, Apple's AirPods and AirPods Pro are guaranteed to be on many holiday wish lists. Though discounts on AirPod models have been offered throughout the year, we're expecting some of the best deals yet on Black Friday 2020.

The best deal we've seen so far is for the AirPods Pro, which were down from their usual $249 price to $170 on Amazon. Unfortunately, Amazon is  out of stock at the moment. The deals for the AirPods with Wireless Charging Case and the Powerbeats Pro are also great.

If you're looking for discounts on other Apple products, here are the best Black Friday deals on MacBooks and Apple Watches. And if you're not a hardcore Apple fan, here are other great Black Friday tech deals.

The best Black Friday Apple AirPod deals

Apple's AirPods Pro are the company's flagship AirPods that come with the most features and the best sound. They have active noise cancellation and a snugger fit than the standard AirPods. For those who have trouble keeping normal AirPods in their ears, the AirPods Pro are a great choice.

The standard AirPods with wired charging case and wireless charging case are nearly identical, save for the fact that one can only be charged with an Apple Lightning cable, and the other has the option to be charged with a wireless charging device. While many wear regular AirPods for working out, these are designed for casual wearing as they don't have sweat and water resistance.

The Apple-owned Beats PowerBeats Pro true wireless earbud are a decent alternative to the AirPods Pro with their secure in-ear fit and sweat resistance, but they don't have active noise cancelling.

Select colors of the Powerbeats Pro headphones are on sale.

When is Black Friday 2020?

Black Friday 2020 kicks off on November 27. But, while some stores are waiting until that date to launch their best deals, several retailers are already offering early Black Friday discounts on a variety of products.

Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target are all continuing to roll out early deals. After Black Friday, additional deals will be added on Cyber Monday 2020, which falls on November 30.

The best Black Friday Apple AirPod deals coming soon

Though there are already some decent discounts available on AirPod models, we think it's likely that bigger deals are coming on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Specific Black Friday deals for the standard AirPods with wired or wireless charging cases haven't been announced yet, but their current deal prices don't match their all-time best. With that in mind, it's possible that retailers will discount those models even more on November 27.

To match the lowest price we've ever seen, the AirPods with wired charging case will need to dip down to $99 or less. Meanwhile, the lowest price we've seen the AirPods with wireless charging case sell for is $140.

We'll keep an eye on AirPod deals as Black Friday approaches and update this page with all the latest discounts.

What's the difference between the AirPods and AirPods Pro?

Apple's AirPods lineup consists of two primary models: the standard AirPods and AirPods Pro. The standard AirPods are available with either a wired charging case or a wireless charging case, while the AirPods Pro are only available with a wireless charging case.

The standard AirPods feature a stem-like design with a universal fit. Under the hood, the earbuds are powered by Apple's H1 chip. Battery life is rated for up to five hours of playback on one charge, and the charging case can net about 24 hours of extra power.

Meanwhile, the AirPods Pro step things up with a more advanced design and set of features. Unlike the standard AirPods, the AirPods Pro include active noise cancellation. They also feature shorter stems, IPX4 sweat and water resistance, and three silicone tips for a more customizable fit. Battery life is rated for around five hours with active noise cancellation off, or 4.5 hours with active noise cancellation on. The charging case can also add around 24 hours of extra juice.

Washington state launches 'WA Notify,' an anonymous, data-secure app through which COVID-19 positive users can anonymously notify exposure others who have been within 6 feet of them

WA Notify User Guide
  • A new app launched by the Washington State Department of Health and developed in conjunction with the University of Washington seeks to notify users if they have been exposed to COVID-19.
  • The app is voluntary and data-secure and is seen as a complementary tool for testing and contact tracing, according to Gov. Jay Inslee's office.
  • The app launched Monday as COVID-19 cases remained high in Washington state, with state hospitals nearly running out of capacity, Inslee said at a press conference Monday.
  • "If another WA Notify user you've been near in the last two weeks later tests positive for COVID-19 and adds their verification code to the app, you'll get an anonymous notification that you've had a possible exposure," the Washington Department of Health shared on their website.

In Washington state, an app could anonymously tell you if you've been exposed to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

In a press release on Monday, Washington Gov. Jay Inslee announced Washington Exposure Notifications, also known as WA Notify, an app that will notify users of possible COVID-19 exposures.

The app, which was also discussed at a press conference on Monday, uses Apple and Google Bluetooth technology in order to measure how close Android and iPhone users are. The service is voluntary, but if a user of WA Notify tests positive, they can use the app to notify residents who have been within a 6-foot radius of them.

"When you enable WA Notify, your phone exchanges random, anonymous codes with the phones of people you are near who have also enabled WA Notify," the Washington Department of Health shared on their website. "If another WA Notify user you've been near in the last two weeks later tests positive for COVID-19 and adds their verification code to the app, you'll get an anonymous notification that you've had a possible exposure."

The WA Department of Health, along with Inslee, added that no personal information about the user can be traced or tracked via the app. The University of Washington and the Washington Department of Health developed the app together.

"Personal information is not recorded, neither is location. You won't be told where the proximity occurred, no one is recording information as to where either user was, nor are they recording the identity of those phones. So for whatever purpose you want to assure your anonymity, they will be fulfilled," Inslee said at a news conference on Monday. Inslee also added that information about how to enroll in WA Notify is being translated into more than 30 languages for Washington residents.

The app will be available on the App Store for Apple users and on the Google Play Store for Android users. Specific instructions for enabling notifications as "Government alerts" were laid out on the Washington Department of Health website.

"WA Notify complements the actions Washington residents are already taking, like wearing masks, physical distancing, and keeping gatherings small," said Secretary of Health John Wiesman. In a study cited by Washington state officials, researchers focused on three counties in Washington and found that if 15% of the population participated, digital exposure notification systems could reduce infections and deaths by approximately 8% and 6%, respectively.

On Twitter, Inslee posted that 200,000 people had already enrolled in the notification service.

In a statement, Stefano Tessaro, associate professor at the UW Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, addressed user privacy issues.

"People are understandably concerned these days about being tracked and having their personal information compromised," he said, but claimed that "the technology behind WA Notify has been vetted by security and privacy experts across the world, and it does not collect or store any information that personally identifies its users. I plan to add WA Notify to my phone and I will encourage my friends and family to use it as well."

The Seattle Times reported that as early as the launch date on Monday, some users received their first notifications. The Washington Department of Health registered 2,345 new COVID-19 cases across the state on November 29, with the number expected to rise after potential Thanksgiving gatherings.

New data from the CDC and the Washington State Department of Health showed that Washingtonians traveled significantly less by air, train, and car for Thanksgiving this year, which Inslee acknowledged as a positive step in beating the curve.

Gov. Newsom considers another COVID-19 stay-at-home order as hospitalizations in California spike after Thanksgiving holiday

0

gavin newsom
Gov. Gavin Newsom announces new criteria related to coronavirus hospitalizations and testing that could allow counties to open faster than the state, during a news conference at Mustards Grill in Napa, Calif., Monday May 18, 2020. Newsom says the new criteria could apply to 53 of the state's 58 counties.
  • California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he is considering imposing another stay-at-home order as hospitalizations in the state spike amid COVID-19 surges.
  • About 75% of California's 7,733 ICU beds are occupied, and hospitals could reach 112% of capacity by December 24, according to projections shared by Newsom.
  • "If these trends continue, we're going to have to take much more dramatic — arguably drastic — actions," he said during a briefing Monday.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Monday that he is considering imposing another stay-at-home order as hospitals could be overwhelmed by Christmas amid COVID-19 spikes, projections show.

The potential orders could impact counties in the purple tier of the state's reopening plan, which are under the strictest guidelines. Fifty-one counties are in the purple tier out of 58 counties in total.

"If these trends continue, we're going to have to take much more dramatic — arguably drastic — actions," he said during a briefing Monday.

California, the US' most populous state, became the second US state to pass the grim milestone of one million COVID-19 cases confirmed in the state, Texas was the first state.

About 75% of California's 7,733 ICU beds are occupied, and hospitals could reach 112% of capacity by December 24, according to projections shared by Newsom. The state reported 7,787 coronavirus hospitalizations as of Sunday — an 89% spike in hospitalizations over the last two weeks.

Dr. Mark Ghaly, California's health and human services secretary, told the Los Angeles Times that the hospitalization figures don't show the entire picture of the spread of COVID-19 in the state, as hospitalizations only account for developed cases that were detected a few weeks earlier.

"[Everything] is on the table in terms of considering how we effectively guide the state through this," Ghaly told the LA Times.

The state imposed a "targeted safer-at-home order" following Thanksgiving, which closed public playgrounds, set a capacity on non-essential establishments, and prohibited gatherings between people from different households except outdoor religious services and protests.

"We have come to a place where our cases and our hospitalizations are so high that we must do something to settle things down," Dr. Sara Cody, the health officer for Santa Clara County, said Saturday upon announcing the new targeted restrictions. "We are now at a critical inflection point."

"This pandemic is like a high-speed train, and our projections tell us that we are on target to derail by around the third week of December if we don't apply brakes, right now, with all our collective might," she continued. "We urge everyone to stay home to the greatest extent that you can. Please stay home. Do not go out unless it is for essential reasons or essential purposes."

Sony Playstation 5

Sadly, it's too early to expect a discount on the new PlayStation 5 console. In fact, you may find it tough to lay hands on one at the regular price because stock is low everywhere. There are still some ways to save during Cyber Monday, though, if you're looking for games and accesories.

We have found a handful of discounted PS5 games and gaming headsets that might interest you.

It's also worth checking out some of the deals on PS4 games, as there are loads of price cuts right now and they will work on the PS5, too. While some PS4 titles are being upgraded on the PS5 for free, others require you to buy the PS5 version for the full upgrade, but all will run better and faster on the new console.

And remember, just because you can't get a PS5, doesn't mean there aren't loads of other tech deals worth checking out.

The best Cyber Monday Apple Watch deals still available include $50 off the Series 6 and $20 off the SE

Apple fall September event Apple Watch SE iPad
  • Cyber Monday 2020 Apple deals are still live, bringing some of the best prices of the year for highly coveted tech products like Apple Watches and AirPods.
  • The $400 Apple Watch Series 6, released in September 2020, is $50 off at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target, while the $280 Apple Watch SE is down $20.
  • Stores are offering deals on older Apple Watches, too, including $100 to $200 off the Apple Watch Series 5 at Best Buy, and $50 off the Apple Watch Series 3 at Target.
  • Here are the best Cyber Monday deals we're tracking across the internet, all-day, every day.

The Apple Watch is the top smartwatch for iPhone users, combining heath and fitness tracking features with style and design. The latest wearrable tech can be expensive, but Cyber Monday has delivered deals on the newly released Apple Watch Series 6, along with older Apple Watch models, at multiple retailers.

Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target have been offering discounts of $50 to $200 off the Apple Watch since Thanksgiving and Black Friday, and Cyber Monday might be the last chance to claim these deals during the 2020 holiday season.

If you're not sure which Apple Watch is best for you, we've broken down the features for each model in our Apple Watch buying guide, and reviewed each model separately. Business Insider's Apple reporter Lisa Eadiccio said the $280 Apple Watch SE is the best choice for most prospective buyers.

It's important to note that some color options and sizes have varying deals. We try to point out the best deals, but a color or size option you want may not be as low.

The best Cyber Monday Apple Watch deals

Apple's top $400 Series 6 model with all the bells and whistles is getting a $50 discount at the moment. It includes a fast processor inside and a new blood-oxygen sensor. This measures SpO2 levels to track your overall respiratory and cardiac health alongside the usual array of health and fitness tracking sensors and features.

You can read our full Apple Watch Series 6 review here.

If you're willing to buy a slightly older Apple Watch model for a deep discount, Best Buy is offering $100 off the  standard Apple Watch Series 5 (now $329) and $200 off the version that uses mobile data (now $449).

Watch Series 5 (44mm, GPS) (medium, Preferred: Best Buy)

But, you can easily argue that you don't really need the Series 5 or Series 4, as the more recent Apple Watch SE has similar specs and features, and its $280 retail price is already lower. Add in the $20 off deal we're seeing right now for Cyber Monday, and the SE becomes even more tempting.

You can read our full Apple Watch SE review here.

And, if you're avoiding big price tags and looking for the core Apple Watch experience, the Apple Watch Series 3 will suit most people just fine. For a $200 retail price, it's already a good option for budget-conscious buyers. An extra $50 off sweetens the deal even further.

Insider Reviews senior home and kitchen editor Jada Wong saved $50 on the Our Place Always Plan during Black Friday.

We've been covering Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, and live blogging the best sales for what feels like months here at Insider Reviews, and in between our coverage, we've been doing a lot of shopping on our own.

As professional deal hunters, we couldn't pass up the major savings we were seeing on clothes, cookware, and video games from big-box retailers like AmazonTarget, and more, and startups like Our Place and Parade. Naturally, we wouldn't keep the good stuff to ourselves, so we've curated the deals we shopped that are still available.

Here are the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals we bought that are still available to shop now:

Our Place Always Pan
our place

"I already have an Always Pan, but I love and use it so much that I decided to get a second after seeing its excellent deal. It never goes on sale and the $50 discount is substantial for a startup." — Jada Wong, senior home and kitchen editor

Coop Original Pillow
coop original pillow

"I'd wanted to try this pillow after reading our buying guide to the best pillows, so when I saw that it was 20% off during Black Friday, I jumped on the deal. It hasn't arrived yet but I'm looking forward to sleeping on them after several night shifts covering Black Friday and Cyber Monday." — Jada Wong, senior home and kitchen editor

Bombas Women's Solids Ankle Socks
bombas socks

"My partner and I both asked for Bombas socks for Hanukkah and Christmas, and being the professional deal hunters we are, we sent the links to our parents during Black Friday so they could get a sweet discount on our presents.

Bombas rarely go on sale, so this is a really good time to take advantage. The current sale includes 20% off single pairs and 15% off value packs, which are discounted by about 5% to begin with (totaling 20%). That's as good a deal as we've seen all year." — Sally Kaplan, senior style and beauty editor

SodaStream Fizzi Sparkling Water Maker
Sodastream Fizzi White

"While I pretty much always choose flat over bubbly for my normal H20 intake, I do enjoy seltzer for gin and tonics, Palomas, and other cocktails I whip up at my home bar. The fact that I never have to buy seltzer again combined with the discounted price of the SodaStream and the rate of cocktails I've been making at home since March, I'll break even on this purchase in no time." — Danny Bakst, manager, story production

Athleisure and loungewear from Girlfriend Collective
Girlfriend Collective Leggings 3

"While there were plenty of cute clothes on sale this year, I pretty much live my life in loungewear these days, so I used the sales to bulk up on cozy athleisure and loungewear from both brands I love and brands I've wanted to try. I also bought Slime Rancher on Steam for 70% off and it'd already supplied hours of amusement over the last few days. Apple Watch Cyber Monday 4x3

The Apple Watch is our favorite smartwatch, and there are plenty of models to accommodate different needs and budgets. If you were already interested in buying Apple's smartwatch, Cyber Monday is one of the best days to get one since discounts are available on all versions. Many of the deals have already sold out, but there are still some discounts on various models.

Prices are ranging from $150 on the cheapest Series 3 deal to $480 for the larger-sized Series 6 with GPS and LTE. Right now opting for the Series 6 will yield the biggest savings. It's down to $350 from $400, so you'll save $50. We saw a better deal that took $70 off the normal price on Black Friday, but $350 is still a solid deal on a brand-new Apple Watch Series 6.

It's important to note that some color options and sizes have varying deals. We try to point out the best deals, but a color or size option you want may not be as discounted, and the colors that hang around the longest may not be your favorite, so act fast.

You'll also find that certain retailers may not have the Apple Watch model you want for delivery, and stock will vary by location for pickup.

If you're looking for more savings, be sure to check out all the best Cyber Monday tech deals here. You can also read our Cyber Monday liveblog for additional deal highlights

The best Cyber Monday Apple Watch deals

Apple Watch Series 6

The Series 6 is Apple's top-of-the-line smartwatch, and this iteration has brought improvements like a new blood oxygen sensor, faster charging, and a brighter always-on display. If you want the Apple Watch with all the bells and whistles, the Series 6 is the one for you. It is available at a $50 discount at both Amazon and Target. If you're willing to make some compromises when it comes to features, keep scrolling to the SE or the older Series 3.

Apple Watch SE

The Apple Watch SE is already a great deal, and it's even cheaper during Cyber Week. This is Apple's mid-tier watch, and it still has most of the features you'll find in the Series 6 such as a larger screen than the series 3, activity tracking features, and Apple's newest processor. You'll sacrifice the always-on display, blood oxygen readings, and the ability to take an ECG.

We had trouble finding this model in stock in several stores we checked. It's available, though on backorder, from Best Buy for $30 more.

If it's not available at a Target near you, you can try Amazon, which is selling the SE for $30 more.

If you can't find the watch at Target, you may be able to get it on Amazon for $30 more.

Apple Watch Series 3

The Apple Watch Series 3 was first released three years ago, but it's still a perfectly capable smartwatch for those in search of a bargain. It runs the latest Apple Watch software, so you'll see many of the same basic features offered by the SE and Series 6. This is a great buy if you're looking for a way to check your notifications and track your workouts and activity.

Apple Watch Series 5

The Apple Watch Series 5 is still a fantastic smartwatch that's a bit more capable than the Series SE but at a cheaper price than the Series 6. It has an always-on display and the ability to take an ECG from the wrist — two features that are missing from the SE. It lacks other new health features like blood oxygen measurements, but still offers many of Apple's other health-oriented features.

Nike, Coca-Cola, and Apple reportedly lobbied to weaken a bill aimed at preventing them from manufacturing products in China using forced Uighur labor

Hong Kong Uighur protest masks.JPG
Hong Kong protesters rally in support of Xinjiang Uighurs' human rights in Hong Kong, China, December 22, 2019.
  • Nike, Coca-Cola, and Apple were among the companies that lobbied to weaken a bill aimed at banning US firms from relying on Chinese forced labor, The New York Times reported Sunday.
  • HSBC, American Apparel, and several industry groups also lobbied on the bill, which would ban many goods imported from Xinjiang unless companies prove they weren't made with forced labor.
  • The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act, as it's called, passed the House in September by a 406-3 margin, and according to The New York Times, has the support needed to pass the Senate.
  • Various reports have linked Nike, Coca-Cola, Apple, and other major US companies to suppliers in the region, where China has been accused of detaining and violating the rights of as many as one million Uighurs and other Muslim minorities.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.

Nike, Coca-Cola, and Apple all sought to weaken proposed legislation aimed at barring US companies from relying on the forced labor of Uighurs and other Muslim minorities in China's Xinjiang region, The New York Times reported Sunday.

The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act would ban US companies from importing a wide range of goods made in Xinjiang, where China has been accused of mass human rights violations unless companies can prove that the goods weren't made using forced labor.

The bill passed the House in September by a margin of 406 to 3, and aides told The Times that it has enough support to pass the Senate.

Other companies and trade groups, including HSBC, American Apparel, the National Retail Federation, and the US Chamber of Commerce also lobbied on the bill, according to lobbying disclosure forms.

None of the above organizations responded to a request for comment on this story.

Apple took issue with the claim that it tried to water down the bill in a statement to The Times.

Nike's global communications director, Greg Rossiter, told The Times that the company "did not lobby against" the bill but rather had "constructive discussions" with congressional staffers.

Coca-Cola told The Times in a statement that it "strictly prohibits any type of forced labor in our supply chain."

The US Chamber of Commerce declined to comment to The Times. It instead referred it to a letter it and other groups wrote in November, saying they supported addressing forced labor.

Human rights groups, media reports, and other independent researchers have extensively documented China's mass surveillance and detainment of as many as one million Uighurs, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and other Muslim minority groups in internment camps, where reports allege they are subjected to torture, sexual abuse, and forced labor for little or no pay.

In March, a report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), which estimated that 80,000 Uighurs have been forcibly relocated to factories across China, found evidence of forced Uighur labor at four separate factories in Apple's supply chain as well as the supply chains of Nike, BMW, and Amazon.

Also in March, the Congressional-Executive Commission said in a report that Nike and Coca-Cola, as well as major brands such as Adidas, Campbell Soup, Costco, H&M, Kraft Heinz, Patagonia, and Tommy Hilfiger, were suspected of relying on forced Chinese labor.

Nike claimed in a March statement that it "does not source products" from Xinjiang and that it "confirmed with our contract suppliers that they are not using textiles or spun yarn from the region." Nike also told The Times that a factory in Qingdao that makes its shoes stopped using Uighur labor in 2019, though the ASPI report, citing Chinese state media, found that 800 Uighurs were still forced to work there as of November 2019.

Coca-Cola told The Times that a COFCO Tunhe plant in Xinjiang — that The Wall Street Journal reported last year was using forced labor — passed an independent audit in 2019 as well.

Amid growing bipartisan support for punishing China over the alleged human rights abuses, as well as holding companies accountable for exploiting it, US lawmakers introduced the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act earlier this year. The bill could force companies — especially those with substantial supply chains in China, such as Nike, Coca-Cola, and Apple — to make major changes to how and where they manufacture their products, and is viewed as having more teeth than current laws.

In response, many companies have sought to weaken the disclosure and compliance requirements proposed in the bill.

The Washington Post reported earlier this month that Apple had lobbied against the bill, and according to The Times, the tech giant pushed for longer deadlines to reach compliance, less disclosure to the general public, and putting more onus on the US government to assess whether Chinese entities are complicit in the oppression of Muslims.

Apple, Nike, and Coca-Cola have over the years been accused by human rights groups of a variety of labor abuses and worker exploitation, particularly in China. They have also made various pledges and taken some steps to address that criticism.

Monitoring that, however, has become difficult. Five major auditing groups hired by Western firms told The Wall Street Journal in September that they are no longer carrying out supply chain inspections in China because restrictions imposed by government officials have made it too difficult to effectively and independently evaluate working conditions in the country.

sony a8h TV mounted on wall

Cyber Monday 2020 has arrived. It's one of the best times of year to save big on all kinds of tech products, including TVs from all of the major brands. Several TV deals are now out of stock after they've been through the Black Friday weekend, but if you're in the market for a new TV and you're looking to spend less than full price, there are still plenty of worthwhile displays available.

Budget, midrange, and high-end models from Sony, LG, Vizio, Samsung, TCL, and Hisense are available now for some of their best deal prices ever. Best Buy, Amazon, Walmart, and Target are all offering TV discounts throughout the Cyber Monday shopping event today.

Also note that some retailers may not offer delivery options for every model, so you might have to pick up select TVs from the store. For those in-store pickup options, stock varies by location. That means some models may not be available in your area.

We've rounded up the best TV deals you can get right now, including big discounts on flagship OLED and QLED models. We'll update this page with additional Cyber Monday deals as they become available today.

The best Cyber Monday TV deals

Cyber Monday TV deals are available on a wide range of display models from LG, Vizio, Sony, Samsung, TCL, Hisense, and Insignia. Deals cover all budgets and sizes, from high-end 4K sets to basic HD smart TVs.

For home theater fans who want a flagship 65-inch display, the best deal you can snag right now is Vizio's OLED 4K TV. These displays deliver some of the best image performance you can buy, and all both sale prices match the lowest we've ever seen for each respective model.

The Sony 65-inch A8H can produce the most accurate colors, while the Vizio 65-inch OLED is the most affordable at just $1,500, but it doesn't include a voice remote.

I'm currently testing the Vizio model, and though I've been blown away by the stunning picture performance, I've encountered signal problems with my Onkyo AV receiver and the TV's HDMI ARC port. Vizio is looking into a potential firmware fix but it can't provide an estimated release date. With that in mind, I recommend that buyers with Onkyo receivers consider other options for the time being.

In addition to premium OLEDs, there are plenty of high-end QLED, LED, and more budget-friendly displays on sale. Check out all the best Cyber Monday TV deals today below.
